Wild Women Don’t Have the Blues

Happy Throwback Thursday, lovlies!

You know when it’s Thursday, we’re one step closer to Friday and that’s one step closer to sweat pants and Netflix and that, my friends, is HEAVEN!

This Thursday I’m throwing it all the way back to 1924 with this little ditty that I just discovered this week.

Wild Women Don’t Have the Blues is a “vaudeville style blues song ” as Wikipedia puts it, sung by Ida Cox.

I actually had never heard of Ida Cox until this Monday when her name was mentioned in the book I’m currently reading. Me, being me, I had to go to Spotify and see what she sounded like so I knew what they were talking about. Obviously!

In any case, I hope you enjoy this edition of Throwback Thursday with Ida Cox singing Wild Women Don’t Have the Blues.
